The Cottage - Conversation with Robert P. Jones: "Hidden Roots of White Supremacy"

Yesterday I listened to a presentation made by Dr. Robert P. Jones, president of the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI). He spoke about his new book, The Hidden Roots of White Supremacy, with Dr. Diana Butler Bass the host of The Cottage.

Bass and Jones talked about history, religion, and politics — and the current conflicts over American identity. For Dr. Jones, we need to understand the issues facing the United States better if we start with 1493, the year of Columbus’ second voyage to North America. He points readers toward a wider — and more honest — vision of history that involves realistic hope for a better future.
