History is not just something nice we learn about the past, it is what we learn about the power struggles human beings have confronted to keep the wheel of life turning. History can be used to justify exploitation and oppression or it can be used as a tool for human liberation and fulfillment. We all have to decide how we read history and use history because history is not an objective enterprise, it is a human enterprise, and, therefore, it should be explored with all its complexities and ruffles.
